What a weekend on Sanibel!

There are always things to do on Sanibel Island but this weekend is brimming with fun.

For the serious coin shopper, Thursday- Saturday you can stop in to the Ancient & Spanish Coin show at The Cedar Chest Jewelry store in Tahitian Gardens, 1975 Periwinkle Way, and learn all about this type of coin. A special selection is being brought out just for these three days. All their coins are certified authentic and the store has an excellent reputation and has been in business for 34 years at the same location.

Saturday there is a classic car show from 10-3 at Tahitian. It's free and there is a free park & ride service from the Schoolhouse Theater on an old fashioned trolley. There are restaurants that serve adult beverages and there will be a kids corner with a bounce house, face painting and a clown that makes balloon animals for the kids. A local radio station will be there from 11-1 playing "oldies tunes" to get everyone in the mood. The stores are having sales so there is something to keep everyone in the family busy.

On Sunday stop into Tahitian again for the Sanibel Island Farmers Market from 8-1. This market has been a huge community success and just gets better each week. Fresh produce, cut flowers, Fresh seafood and lots of other goodies. New additions come each week, so be sure to check back.

Looks like Tahitian is one busy spot this weekend. See you there!
