Kick off the romantic weekend Friday night at The Village Shops from 5-8 p.m. Sanibel Tropical Wines starts the "Hopelessly Romantic" evening at 5 p.m. with a rare tasting of their Sparkling Wines & Strawberry Cream Sherry. Beginning at 6 p.m. Gene Federico will seranade shoppers with his romantic guitar playing and singing and there will be handmade chocolates to savor along with a chocolate fountain and fresh fruit and goodies to dip in the fountain. For three hours you can shop with your sweetheart in some of Sanibel's finest shops and Sanibel's favorite orchid people will be here selling their beautiful plants as well. Each purchase you make will put your name in the "Hopelessly Romantic" drawing for some very romantic giveaways. Dinner certificates at Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant. Schoolhouse Theater tickets, Island Cinema tickets, Schnappers Hots pizza, manicure & pedicure services, hair cuts & styling for men & women and a pampering basket. Drawings will be held thoughout the evening.
